Castlegar Mayor announces new flight service serving Castlegar & Vancouver.

We have an exciting new flight service at the West Kootenay Regional Airport. Starting October 1, we’re launching daily flight service to and from Vancouver’s South Terminal with Central Mountain Air which provides connections to other destinations.

Air Canada will not be returning until January 2021 at the earliest and we know our airport is important to your community so we’ve been working hard to bring passenger service back to customers looking for travel options at the West Kootenay Regional Airport.

Daily flight times will be:

  • Depart Vancouver at noon and arrive in Castlegar at 1:15 p.m.
  • Depart Castlegar at 1:45 p.m., arriving in Vancouver at 3 p.m.

Safety will be our top priority and we’ve implemented new COVID-19 health and safety measures in the terminal and on-flights to ensure the public can feel confident when traveling. Learn more about the COVID-19 safety precautions we are taking to keep you safe at wkrairport.com or flycma.com.

Flights are available to book immediately through local travel agents and flycma.com. Connecting fares to major destinations across Canada are available via travel agents and large online travel agencies like Expedia, Priceline and Booking.com.

In order to make this successful, we’re hoping you will help spread the word by sharing this letter with people you think might be interested. You can also spread the word on social media through the City’s Facebook page.

Sincerely,

Bruno Tassone
Mayor
