Salmo Official Community Plan Re-write Complete
November 18, 2019 – The rewrite of the original draft OCP #687 is now complete. View it here.
It has been reorganized, and now incorporates the OCP Economic Survey input, a section on the Village’s Affordable Housing Policy, statistics from the 2016 Census and new maps. The Historical Rail District has been removed as a land use and restored to the former boundaries of the General Industrial area – now renamed Mixed Use Commercial, Areas of Mixed-use Residential have been also introduced to allow more flexibility of land use in neighbourhoods through the inclusion of small neighbourhood stores and professional offices. .First reading of this version was held at the November 12th Council meeting and it is now open for public review and discussion.

Council invites you to share your input on the OCP at a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:00 pm at the SVYCC.
Written submissions/comments are also welcome. They must be received no later than 12:00 noon on December 3rd. Please mail, email or deliver them in person to:
