The Village is honoured to have been awarded the 2016 Union of B.C. Municipalities (UBCM) Community Excellence Award for “Best Practices: Organizational Development and Improvements” for the work done by CAO Diane Kalen-Sukra and staff on “Rebuilding the Public Record”.
The award is a first for Salmo.
Professional improvements to Village operations include the rebuilding of a functioning central filing system, proper handling of personal information, retention and disposition of the public record, and the introduction of administrative fairness in the handling of public service requests among other improvements.

Congratulations CAO & Staff on a job well done!
