As part of the Village of Salmo’s new “Salmo Bloom” community initiative, a Xeriscaping workshop is being held on June 8th, 2017 at 1pm at the Village Office on the practice of planting native and drought toleratne landscapes which require very little irrigation or maintenance. Spots are limited. Interested participants are encouraged to RSVP the Village office by phone, in person or email at [email protected].

Dry, hot summer conditions are normal for our region. Why not work these environmental conditions into your yard and garden?

Salmo’s new WaterSmart Ambassador Chris Black will be offering a knowledge based workshop on the principals of xeriscaping for our region. Planning and design, soil preparation, practical turf areas, plant selection, irrigation, and maintenance will be covered.

There will be a focus on selecting native wildflowers, trees, shrubs and groundcovers

The workshop will be held at the Village office on June 8th at 1:00pm. No experience is necessary.

REGISTER TODAY: Call the Village office at 250.357.9433 or email at [email protected]
