As Salmo prepares to say farewell to our Chief Administrative Officer, Anne Williams, wishing her well in her retirement, I am pleased to introduce you to our new Chief Administrative Officer, James Heth. James comes to us from the lower mainland where he worked as an Assistant Treasurer for the University of British Columbia and has recently completed his Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University.

His earlier experience and education include a legal career and a broad range of leadership and management abilities that make him well suited for this role.

James is well respected by his former employer and employees and has been a board member of the Nakusp-based Kootenay Adaptive Sport Association since 2019.

Please join with council and staff as we welcome James to the team in his new role as our Chief Administrative Officer later this month.

Sincerely,
Mayor Diana Lockwood
