2022 Election

The 2022 General Local Election will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Salmo Valley Youth & Community Centre (SVYCC) from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

One Advance Voting opportunity will be held at SVYCC from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on a date to be announced.

The Nomination period begins at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 – Friday, September 9, 2022.  Eligibility for being nominated for and holding office of Mayor or Councillor can be found on the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing website (see link below).

The Village’s election is conducted under the legislation provided through the Province of British Columbia.
