After a long 10 month assessment period the Village has been informed that we will not be receiving funding from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) – Rural and Northern Communities Program (RNC) for a new KP Park Community Building/Concession.  While this is extremely disappointing news, we will continue to seek funding for this important project.  Below is an excerpt from the notification letter:

Project # IR0362 – KP Park Community Building

Thank you for your application for funding under the ICIP – Rural and Northern Communities Program (RNC).

We would like to advise that, after careful consideration, the above-noted project was not selected for funding under the ICIP–RNC.

The program received significantly more applications than could be funded. This decision does not reflect on the importance of this project for your community, but rather the degree by which the program has been oversubscribed. All applications were equitably reviewed and given consideration for funding.…

Thank you for your interest in the ICIP-RNC. We wish you every success with your community project.

Best regards,
Brian Bedford
