September 15-21st 2025 is National Coaches Week and the Village of Salmo wants to thank all of the Volunteer Coaches in our Community.

National Coaches Week will put a spotlight on coaches and give this, largely volunteer, integral part of Canadian sport a thanks. National Coaches Week encourages Canadians to say thanks and to celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities.

60% of children and youth in Salmo participate in sport programs at least weekly, much higher than the provincial average of 53%. This means that in your village, a higher proportion of people are also stepping up to coach and support the multi-faceted development of the youth in your community, leading to a safer, healthier and more connected community.
