The Province of BC has announced important changes to the home owner grant program. Effective in 2027 and subsequent years, the additional home owner grant of $200 for Northern and Rural properties will be eliminated. This will result in a maximum regular grant of $570 and the additional (senior/disability) grant will be a maximum of $845.
When budgeting for next year’s tax payment, please take this into consideration.
